# Category Filter

The **category filter** lives in the right panel of the News page. It organizes every news event into 10 themed groups with 34 event types, each showing a live article count for the current time window. Use it to scope the feed to exactly the kind of news you care about.

## How It Works

The panel is always visible on the News page alongside the main feed.

> Click additional categories to build a multi-category selection — the feed shows articles matching any of the selected types.
